A Personal Reflection on Music and Travel
Originally released in 2013, Journey marked my debut full-length album. This project is deeply personal. It captures moments and memories from my travels around the globe. Now, more than a decade later, I’m excited to announce that Journey is finally available on vinyl. This release brings new life to the album that started it all.
The Sound of Journey
This album serves as a sonic diary. It is composed of field recordings and ambient textures woven into melodic compositions. Each track draws inspiration from sounds recorded in distant countries and unexpected places. For instance, the powerful chants of Maasai women in rural Kenya and the echoing tones of a lone saxophonist heard somewhere in South America influenced my work. These raw, spontaneous audio snapshots became the building blocks of the album. Together, they form an atmospheric and evocative journey through sound.
Collaborations That Enhance the Experience
Journey features standout collaborations that enrich the listening experience. Icelandic vocalist Gísli Magna lends his haunting voice to Track 5. His contribution adds a unique layer to the album. Additionally, celebrated Mono Town guitarist Börkur Hrafn Birgisson adds emotional depth with his performance on Track 4. These collaborations highlight the diverse influences that shaped my music.

This vinyl release is not just a reissue; it’s a tribute to where it all began. Vinyl has a unique warmth and character that digital formats often lack.
