Originally released in 2013, Journey marked my debut full-length album—a deeply personal project that captures moments and memories collected from travels around the globe. Now, more than a decade later, I’m excited to announce that Journey is finally available on vinyl, bringing new life to the album that started it all.

Album Journey by Bistro Boy

This album is a sonic diary of sorts, composed of field recordings and ambient textures woven into melodic compositions. Each track was inspired by sounds recorded in distant countries and unexpected places—from the powerful chants of Maasai women in rural Kenya to the echoing tones of a lone saxophonist heard somewhere in South America. These raw, spontaneous audio snapshots became the building blocks of the album, forming an atmospheric and evocative journey through sound.

Journey also features a few standout collaborations: Icelandic vocalist Gísli Magna lends his haunting voice to Track 5, while celebrated Mono Town guitarist Börkur Hrafn Birgisson adds emotional depth with his performance on Track 4.

This vinyl release is not just a reissue—it’s a tribute to where it all began. Whether you're revisiting it or hearing it for the first time, I hope this record takes you places, just as it once took me.

Thank you for listening.
